Starting Out

So a couple days ago I was talking about hip hop and realized that there are a LOT of groups out there there are dope, but just get lost in the shuffle, or are up and coming but havn't quite made it big yet.

This blog will showcase these artists. Even well known artists will get love. Even non-hip hoppers. The only criteria? It's GOOD music.

For the first post I'll have two artists. The first is this this dude Kae Sun I found a few days ago after I heard he was playing in London.

He's orginally from Ghana but lives in Hamilton, Ontario now, and was nominated for the Hamilton Music Awards Recently.

My Pick? Check the track "Let's Do It Again," it reminds me of Pseudo Slang a bit, he has a smooth flow and a sample based beat that you can just mellow out to.

The next artist is DJ Seith. Hailing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he's been spinning for a few years now and his mixes have been getting better and better.

My Pick? Check out the Mackan Mix, it's old but it's still a mix that gets continuous spins on my system.

He also has a Monthly Mix which gives you a pretty good idea of what he's been checkin lately. It's a pretty cool concept, I'd recommend it.
